MEMBERSHIP IN THE ADHESION SOCIETY
The goal of the Adhesion Society is to provide a forum for the exchange and dissemination of new research and technology in adhesion and adhesives. The Particle Adhesion, Soft Adhesives and Structural Adhesion Divisions of Adhesion Society were formed to aid scientists in these important areas of adhesion.
Membership is open to chemists, engineers, materials scientists, physicists, mathematicians, biologists, dentists, and others whose interests lie within the adhesion field. Members include representatives of academia, industry and government.
The Annual Meeting of the Society takes place in February, and typically lasts three days. Every effort is made to encourage fruitful discussions to provide an enjoyable flavor throughout the meetings for both veterans and newcomers. The annual meeting also includes a poster session, exhibition and student award symposium.
A two-day Short Course, “Adhesion Science and Technology”, is held immediately prior to the annual meeting. The course is geared toward introducing newcomers to principles, concepts and practices of adhesion science, engineering and technology. However, experienced professionals in the field of adhesion have enjoyed and learned much from attendance.
